In this week’s study, I think the principle of signaling and the principle of coherence are very intuitive to me. In a short lesson, I think I could easily lose focus. The use of the coherence principle in teaching content, the interlocking content, can help students to focus more on the topic of the course. Students’ learning efficiency will be significantly improved. A long course on signal principles is likely to cover a lot of ground, and a course on signal principles will help students know where to focus. As students review their notes and lecture content, students can focus on these key points.

I was surprised by the principle of continuity, which emphasizes keeping things closer together. I think this may make the content inconvenient to view. For example, in a diagram of a body structure, applying the principle of continuity makes it easier for learners to remember where the parts are. However, learners will also find that there is a lot of information concentrated on the body structure map, and may have memory confusion and forget the knowledge.

The principles of continuity and continuity are well represented in the video on the principles of reading/viewing resources. Four short videos, with clear examples and pictures, well express the principles of multimedia learning. Personally, I like teaching with examples in theory. I may not be able to repeat the theories very well, but I can certainly remember the examples.
