This week’s topic is storytelling combined with teaching. To be fair, this is one way I particularly like. My personal experience is that in the process of self-learning, I prefer to focus on the knowledge hidden in the story. I am like a detective who learns knowledge in a story. At the same time, some of the stories were also about real events, which taught me that knowledge is not just for exams. I will most likely need this knowledge in my life.
The unforgettable story is a physics class. When the teacher talked about Newton’s first law, he did not directly introduce the formula, but told us how Newton discovered this formula. I still remember the way he danced on the podium. At the same time, he also tells us how Newton derived the formula at that time, and how Newton applied this law in the story. I can’t tell whether the story is good or the teacher is good, but I enjoy adding a little story to the class.

Storyboards by Alex Rivera

When it comes to storytelling, I like to have the audience listen to a person’s story while bringing the characters to life. This is a storyboard for the website. This story is about Abraham Lincoln becoming president. I’ll set the theme first, and I hope students will know how Lincoln became president after hearing this story. Then I’ll use a slow voice to tell such a story. I’ll also match the body language and give a positive opinion of mine at the end.
